Grow Baby Grow!

So this week was filled with doctors appointments to deal with this thing that haunts me.... my continued infertility. Though I have been pregnant 4 times, they have yet to figure out why I am unable to maintain a pregnancy... which sucks! Props to tri care (for once), that because the heartbeat was recorded, they pulled out all the stops on my continued treatment. We have had genetic counseling, surgeries, and more within the last six months (along with Pave's Recruiters school). Right before we moved, I did a cycle with my RE in our old duty location, to no success. The drugs didn't make my follicles grow, and it was a bust. My doctor asked me if I was under any stress... Are you f-ing kidding me?!? I was trying to sell a house, buy a house, support my husband while in recruiting school (that was a cake walk!), plan house hold goods, and wrap up my responsibilities with my job.... so ummm... ya, just a bit of stress. I was told that some women just don't respond to drugs, and I was so afraid that I was in that category. So we took a month off, moved in, enjoyed the fourth, and then decided it was time to jump back into things. I found my new doctor down here, and at first was cautious, because he changed EVERYTHING. However, I have warmed up to him, and really like him now! The office staff is fantastic, and so we gave it a whirl ! I was on 100 mg of Clomid, and it resulted in one great sized follicle, yea! We call it our "Miracle Grow" Wednesday morning, they did the second TVUS, and said things were perfect, and that I needed to trigger sometime in the next 8 hours. I ended up going back to the doctor that afternoon, simply because Pave had NO desire to give me the shot, and since it had to go in my butt, there was no way I could do it. That meant we were on a countdown... 36 hours and then we needed some Baby Making Sex! :) Turns out, Pave assumed that was a good enough birthday present for me... I do have to give him credit, he brought home flowers, (which I love), and a card. He also took me to a movie, my choice, so of course I took FULL advantage and we went to go see "The Proposal". It was SO funny, even he enjoyed it. Luckily his flight chief isn't to picky of when they show up for work, because we have a baby to make! To hit the 36 hour mark, he needed to stay up late last night, and then I grabbed him again this morning, just to make sure... (more couldn't hurt right!). So now that that's all done, I go for blood work Tuesday, to see if this will all work out, we have the love, and the marriage, so now we are just waiting for our "baby carriage". I'll keep you updated!

  2. I hope you come back and post some good news! Ahh the joys of infertility..sigh. Sorry you are dealing with all this junk. It's definitely no fun and a roller coaster of emotions that no one should have to deal with. Good luck to you!
