Sunday night Football!

YEA! I love football season, because that means that fall is almost here! I'm a huge Green Bay Packer fan, which is a bit of a problem, because Pave is a huge Cowboys fan. It sometimes gets interesting in this house... however, now that football has started, it reminds me of the friends that have moved away. We have two great friends that used to live across the street from us at our last base. Jason was a HUGE football fan, didn't care if it was college or professional, he would watch it. He grew up in upper Michigan, and was a die-hard Bears fan. We always had fun on the Bears v. Packers game... It's just not the same without him! Shannon, his awesome wife and one of my best friends, and I would usually keep the food coming for everyone (sometimes other neighbors wandered over). Jason brewed his own beer, so that was fun too.

Ahhh- good times.

Speaking of Sunday Football, Pave's beloved Cowboys played earlier. He had to record the game, because his daughter wanted to finish watching Cats vs. Dogs (which btw is a really WEIRD movie). It was nice being able to fast forward through the commercials... but the recording ended when it was 'scheduled' to end, not taking into account it was going to go long. So, we didn't get to watch the last 6 or so minuets... it was interesting trying to explain to my step-daughter the whole idea behind the game. We enjoyed telling her about the time that we got to meet Jason Witten in Dallas. Pave was even able to get his autograph. If I can find those pictures I'll post them later.

I also LOVE this commercial, I don't know why ...

Enjoy the game!

  1. Watching GB right now! I grew up in Cali with a bunch of Wisconsinites so it was always the Packers. :D Hubby had to have some fresh guacamole today to celebrate the start of football!

  2. I'm sure it won't be long before we are doing the Velveeta and salsa! That's one of our favorite 'football foods'. Also, the little Franks in bbq sauce.
